Daniel Adamson
Daniel focuses on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, including trucking and car accidents, premises liability, and medical malpractice. Rather than building a high-volume practice, he has spent his career narrowing his focus so he can go deep on the cases he takes.
A Trial Attorney Built for Careful, Individual Representation
Daniel became managing partner of our firm in 2024. He runs the day-to-day operations, but he has not stepped away from client work to do it.
Daniel remains deeply involved in casework, blending leadership with hands-on advocacy so every client gets our firm’s attention. The same person who is setting our strategy is also the one reviewing medical records and preparing for depositions.
Our Firm Chooses Focus Over Volume
Large injury firms often measure success by how many files move through the door each month. Our firm measures it differently, keeping caseloads at a level where Daniel and our attorneys can personally track the details that make each case unique. His strengths in negotiation, litigation, and firm management have supported our firm’s continued growth.
What This Means for You as a Client
When Daniel takes on a case, he is not delegating the important decisions to someone you have never met. You get direct access to a personal injury attorney who has already thought through how the insurance company will approach your claim.
Daniel believes clients deserve honest advice, clear communication, and personal attention. That means explaining the legal process in plain language, staying accessible, and making sure you understand both the strengths and the challenges of your case. He does not make unrealistic promises. He relies on preparation, communication, and determined advocacy.
From Alpharetta to the Courtroom
Raised in Alpharetta, Georgia, Daniel has deep roots in the Atlanta area. His local upbringing gives him a working familiarity with the roads, hospitals, and courts that come up again and again in Georgia injury cases.
No Stranger to Adversity
Daniel grew up playing sports in a competitive household; both of his parents were competitive triathletes. At 15, he was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease. Managing that diagnosis while continuing to compete taught him early lessons in discipline, work ethic, and pushing forward when circumstances are hard.
Those lessons carry directly into his work. He understands what it means to have your health affect every part of your life, and he does not shy away from a fight on a client’s behalf.
Education at the University of Georgia and Georgia State
Daniel first became interested in law during college, after a business law class caught his attention and a career studies course gave him the chance to explore the profession and talk with practicing attorneys. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, through the Terry College of Business BBA program at the University of Georgia.
Daniel’s undergraduate business training shows up in how our firm evaluates the financial side of a claim, from lost wages to long-term medical costs. It also gives him insight into how the corporate defendants operate. He then completed his Juris Doctor at Georgia State University College of Law, where he focused on building the litigation skills he would need as a trial attorney.
Early Career-Building Trial Skills
After graduating, Daniel joined a large personal injury and workers’ compensation firm, where he rose to become a senior associate supervising multiple attorneys. That role gave him early exposure to a heavy volume of cases and taught him firsthand how easy it is for clients to get lost in a big practice. In 2018, Daniel joined The Dixon Firm, and in 2024 he was named managing partner.
Why Daniel Decided to Represent Injured People
Daniel became an attorney to use his voice and legal training to help people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. He sees plaintiffs’ lawyers as one of the last lines of defense against powerful corporations whose choices put communities at risk, and he values the chance to hold negligent parties accountable and obtain justice for ordinary people who have been wronged.
An injury can affect every part of a person’s life, from health and employment to family and financial security. Daniel is motivated by helping clients regain a sense of control and move forward with dignity. As he puts it, there is no better feeling than handing someone who has been through hell a life-changing recovery.
Daniel’s Case Results Reflect His Careful Preparation
Daniel’s case history includes confidential settlements reached on behalf of clients facing difficult circumstances, including a $3 million resolution in a wrongful death case and a $7 million resolution in a premises liability case involving a sexual assault. Over his career, he has also obtained dozens of six-figure settlements for injured clients. These outcomes reflect the preparation that goes into a case before a demand is ever sent.
Trucking and Motor Vehicle Cases
Several of Daniel’s case results came after clients switched to our firm from a prior attorney. In one case, the insurer’s initial offer to the client’s previous lawyer was $189,000; Daniel resolved it for $745,000. In another, an initial offer of $65,000 became a $500,000 settlement. In one trucking case, Daniel secured the full policy limits after a detailed truck inspection, accident reconstruction and data download.
He has also handled pedestrian cases, including one in which the client did not have a “walk” signal, and the case still settled for the policy limits, as well as a wrongful death claim against Greyhound after a passenger died.
Premises Liability and Negligent Security
A significant part of Daniel’s practice involves property owners and businesses that failed to keep people safe, including negligent security and negligent hiring, training, and supervision claims arising from shootings, stabbings, and sexual assaults.
His premises cases have included:
- A child drowning at an apartment complex where the pool gate was not functioning properly
- A child injured on an amusement park ride he should never have been allowed to board
- A child hurt by a defective swing set at a daycare
- A client who broke her leg on code-violating steps while fleeing a drive-by shooting at a laundromat.
Daniel also resolved a trip-and-fall at a restaurant entrance for $300,000.
Wrongful Death
Early in his career, Daniel worked a wrongful death claim against MARTA and helped the case survive a motion for summary judgment on a difficult set of facts. Surviving that kind of motion means convincing a judge that the case deserves to be heard by a jury, sometimes the hardest procedural hurdle in a wrongful death claim. That experience shaped how Daniel still prepares cases today, building the record early instead of waiting until trial is close.
Recognition in the Legal Community
Daniel’s advocacy has earned him several honors, including:
- America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators (2024–2025)
- Super Lawyers Rising Stars (2022–2026)
- Top 40 Under 40, The National Trial Lawyers (2021–2022)
He is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Daniel treats these honors as a reminder to keep preparing every case carefully, because to the client, that is what matters most.
How Daniel Works with Clients Day to Day
Daniel is committed to making the legal system more accessible to English- and Spanish-speaking individuals and families across Atlanta. His fluency in Spanish lets him communicate directly with clients about sensitive details of their case without relying on a translator, which helps them feel heard and understood, especially in a premises liability case or any claim where they are already dealing with a difficult recovery.
Certified Mediation Training
Daniel is also a certified mediator registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, which trains and registers neutrals who help resolve disputes outside of a courtroom. That background gives him a clearer sense of how an opposing party or insurance adjuster is likely to negotiate. Understanding both sides of the table often helps him position a case more effectively before it ever reaches trial.
Personal Involvement from Intake to Resolution
Clients working with Daniel typically hear from him directly rather than only from case managers or paralegals. Before meeting him, he wants potential clients to know he will listen carefully, take their concerns seriously, and give them a straightforward assessment of their options. In his leadership role, he fosters a client-first culture that extends to every case our firm accepts.
Outside of the Office
When he is not working on cases, Daniel enjoys pickleball, fly fishing, hiking, and golf. He is drawn to the competition, strategy, and physical and mental challenge those pursuits offer, along with the sense of community that comes with them.
